Kant Lormsomboon

Kant Lormsomboon is a versatile musician with a passion for music and a heart for giving back to the community. He began his musical journey at the age of five, studying piano at Nat Studio Piano Institute with Prof. Nat Yontararak, Thai-Contemporary acclaimed artist, and Prof. Wanchana Sompakdee. Throughout his youth, Kant helped with various charity projects, including the "Gift of Life Foundation" by participating in the album "Giving the Gift of Life from Students of Nat Studio." Kant has made a name for himself as a solo recitalist, chamber musician, and orchestral keyboardist, performing in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls such as Walt Disney Concert Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, Carnegie Hall (Stern Auditorium), Wiener Konzerthaus, and Sala Sudasiri Sobha. Not only has he made appearances at major music festivals such as Festival Junger Künstler Bayreuth, Young Euro Classic Berlin, and Los Angeles International Music Festival, but he also serves as a faculty member at The Kinnari Music Festival at ISB (International School Bangkok), underlining his commitment to both performance and pedagogy.

Recently, Kant made an appearance in a recital with the Grammy-awards winner, an American operatic tenor, Kenneth Tarver in celebration of the HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana Classical Music Funds at the Phayathai Palace. Kant's collaborations extend to globally recognized artists: he performed with Nutthaporn Thammathi, Thailand's most internationally acclaimed tenor; shared the stage with Jerzy Kosmala, a former member of the executive board of the American Viola Society, at the 48th International Viola Congress; and captivated audiences with Elly Suh and Mark Messenger, the Head of Strings Department at the Royal College of Music London, set against the backdrop of the Angkor Archaeological Park in Cambodia. In addition to his classical music pursuits, Kant is a member of the Siam Sinfonietta and Siam Philharmonic Orchestra as an orchestral keyboardist and works as a piano répétiteur/rehearsal pianist with Opera Siam International Company and other international productions for various operas and musicals.
