Soprano Kate Juliana’s upcoming engagements include An Evening of Mozart with the Piedmont Chamber Orchestra, performing Sempre libera from Verdi’s La Traviata on a Night of Arias Concert at Santa Clara University, as well as providing backup vocals for the Bay Area rock n roll band Hot Laundry on their 2025 Japan Tour. She has performed many roles including Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata, Drusilla in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, and Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte. Her partial roles include Zweite Dame from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Ellen from Britten’s Peter Grimes, and Beatrice from Berlioz’s Béatrice et Bénédict. Kate attended the Bach-Millennium Summer Festival in 2024, working with conductor Alex Katsman. She holds a Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
