Katherine Malone is a 26-year-old American soprano based in New York City. Most recently, she performed the role of Zelmira in Haydn's Armida, co-produced by Opera NEO and the Hungarian State Opera. She holds a Professional Studies Certificate and a Master of Music Degree in Classical Voice from Manhattan School of Music as well as a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from The Catholic University of America. She has also received training from summer programs such as the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory and Brevard Music Center. Katherine was named a South Carolina District Winner of the 2024-25 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, a 2023 Chautauqua Opera Conservatory Sigma Alpha Iota Competition Winner, and a 2024 Alan M. and Joan Taub Ades Competition Finalist. Some of Katherine's other past opera roles include Lisette (La rondine), Laurie Moss (The Tender Land), La Princesse (L'enfant et les sortilèges), and Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica).
