(She/Her) Cleveland native, soprano Kathleen Norchi is a soprano currently based in New York City. Ms. Norchi made her role and company debut as the young Nannetta in Giuseppi Verdi's beloved comedic masterpiece Falstaff, with Wexford Festival Opera, in Wexford, Ireland, where she was in residency as a 2020 and 2021 Young Artist. During her time at Wexford she performed in two new operas, a mainstage production and sang Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi.

Biography

Kathleen Norchi

Cleveland native, soprano Kathleen Norchi is a classical and musical theatre singer, currently based in New York City. Ms. Norchi will be making her role and company debut as the young Nanetta in Giuseppi Verdi's beloved comedic masterpiece Falstaff, with Wexford Festival Opera, in Wexford, Ireland, where she will be in residency as a 2020 Young Artist. While in Wexford, Kathleen will be debuting the role of Collatine in a new opera commission by Wexford Festival Opera, composed by Andrew Synnott, What Happened to Lucrece. She can also be seen in Master Classes with Bolshoi Opera's Dmitry Vdovin, Rossini Opera Festival's Ernesto Palacio, and MET Opera star Ermonela Jaho. Kathleen will be returning to Wexford Festival Opera as a Young Artist fall 2021 as part of the main stage production of Le Songe d'une Nuit d'été by Ambroise Thomas. Ms. Norchi has been seen as Mabel in Gilbert & Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance, with Utopia Opera, in NYC. She will soon be returning to Utopia to make her Carmen debut as Frasquita, which was originally scheduled for March 2020, but has been postponed due to the effects of COVID-19. Kathleen earned her Masters of Music degree from Mannes, and went to the Boston Conservatory for her undergraduate education, and currently studies with Darrell Babidge in NYC. Other recent roles Ms. Norchi has performed include Pamina (Die Zauberflote), Lady Psyche (Princess Ida), and Lucy (The Telephone).
