Soprano Kathryn Peterson is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University under the tutelage of Professor Ana María Martínez. She was last seen as Susanna in the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar's production of "Le Nozze di Figaro." Ms. Peterson has been seen in roles such as Ava ("In the Rush," a workshop collaboration with the MET), Zerlina ("Don Giovanni"), and Barbarina ("Le Nozze di Figaro"). She was also in the chorus for the world premiere of Mason Bates' "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay" in collaboration with the MET. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. This Fall, she will be performing as Papagena in Rice's Shepherd School of Music's production of "Die Zauberflöte."
