Katie Calderwood is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Harp Performance degree at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of Elzbieta Szmyt. Having studied with Alicia McQuay at Brigham Young University-Idaho, Katie earned her Bachelor of Music degree in 2021. A native of Henefer, Utah, Katie began her harp studies at the age of nine with Maria Phippen. Over the years, Katie has attended and performed at various conferences, including the 11th World Harp Congress in Vancouver, British Columbia, the Suzuki Association of the Americas Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the 14th World Harp Convention in Torino, Italy. She has also performed throughout the Midwest with the BYUI Sinfonietta. Katie is actively performing as a soloist and with a variety of orchestras.
