Katrina Finder (formerly Deininger), soprano, hails from the Seattle area. Recently, she covered the title role in Manon with Puget Sound Concert Opera, where she was featured as a Studio Artist for the 2018-2019 season. In the summer of 2018, she enjoyed her role debut of Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with Aquilon Music Festival in McMinville, Oregon.

Biography

Katrina Finder

Katrina Finder (formerly Deininger), soprano, hails from the Seattle area. Recently, she covered the title role in Manon with Puget Sound Concert Opera, where she was featured as a Studio Artist for the 2018-2019 season. In the summer of 2018, she enjoyed her role debut of Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with Aquilon Music Festival in McMinville, Oregon. Earlier in 2018, she toured to schools throughout Washington with Northwest Opera in School’s Etc. (NOISE), performing the role of Gretel in Hansel and Gretel. 2017 brought Katrina to the east coast, where she was a Young Artist with Asheville Lyric Opera in Asheville North Carolina. While there, she sang the role of Giannetta in their mainstage production of L’elisir d’amore.  Other favorite roles include Pamina in Die Zauberflöte (University of Washington Opera Theater/Pacific MusicWorks, 2015), and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi (University of Washington Opera Theater, 2014).  Katrina also enjoys performing rare and/or contemporary works. In March 2020, she will be a member of the Victorian Chorus in Philip Glass’ The Photographer at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts.   In 2017, she sang in the Greek Chorus in Oedipus, an opera by Harry Partch performed on instruments created by the composer. In 2015, she sang Lydie in Gabriel Fauré’s only opera, Pénélope, with Vespertine Opera.  Passionate about bringing the arts to the next generation, Katrina is also a Teaching Artist with Seattle Opera. She has presented their “Opera Time” program in classrooms throughout the state, including traveling to Wenatchee, Washington in 2017 and 2018 to bring the program to over 50 classrooms.
