Soprano Kayla Eldridge is a native of Bentonville, Arkansas, but currently calls Chicago home. She recently obtained her Master of Music degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she under the tutelage of Carol Vaness. While at IU, she performed as an opera chorus member in La Bohème, Peter Grimes, Lucia di Lammermoor, and L'elisir d'amore. Eldridge has performed the role of Sœur Mathilde in Dialogues des Carmélites with IU Opera, as well as Cleopatra in Giulio Cesare in Egitto with Chicago Summer Opera. She was the 2019 recipient of the Encouragament Award from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Arkansas District Auditions. Her final season at IU included the roles of Erster Knappe in Parsifal and Flora Bervoix in La Traviata.
