Kimberly Martinez is a mezzo-soprano that hails from Nutley, New Jersey. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, where she received the Dr. Benjamin F. Wilkes Scholarship. She currently resides in Boston, MA, where she is pursuing her Master of Music degree at New England Conservatory.
Kimberly recently performed in NEC's production of L'enfant et les sortilèges as a shepherdess, number, and frog. In March 2022, she performed in the Perkin Opera Scenes as Dorabella in Così fan tutte, and Fidalma in Il matrimonio segreto.
This Fall 2022, Kimberly will perform in NEC's outreach production of Hansel and Gretel as the Mother and Witch. In April 2023, she will sing the role of Clizia in L'arbore di Diana.
Music has been a part of Kimberly's life for many years, starting out with Kindermusic when she was only five years old. Outside of music, she is a big foodie, loves to read, and do makeup. Kimberly is a proud Latina of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent.
