In 2016, Ms. Larsen received her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from the University of Kansas while studying under Dr. Genaro Méndez. In the same year, she also received a Bachelor of Arts in Italian. She recently received a Master's degree in Classical Voice from El Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona, Spain, studying with Eduard Giménez and Maria Soler. While at the University of Kansas, Kristen performed operatic, musical theater, and straight play roles. Some of her highlights included: Laetitia in The Old Maid and the Thief, Meg (Margaret) March in Little Women the musical, Paulette Depaul in Over Here!, No-No in Pooter McGraw is Not Dead Party, and the soprano soloist in Kurt Weill's Berlin to Broadway. In addition to performance experience, Kristen has worked with a variety of renowned coaches, teachers, directors, and conductors. She most recently participated as a Young Artist with the SongFest Summer Institute of 2017. Over the next year, she will continue studying in Barcelona, Spain with Eduard Giménez and Maria Soler at El Conservatori del Liceu.
