This concert, dedicated to the late Peter Tiboris, founder of MidAmerica Productions, features the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra. Sir John Rutter conducts his luminous Requiem, followed by Marios Papadopoulos leading the ensemble in Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de Dominica, K. 321, and Beethoven’s radiant Symphony No. 7. With soloists and choirs from across the United States, this performance pays tribute to Tiboris’s legacy, celebrating his passion for uniting artists and audiences through extraordinary music-making.
New York City Opera returns in September to perform a fully staged version of the beloved Bizet classic, Carmen. Glorious melodies bring to life the story of the tempestuous yet irresistible seductress Carmen and her hapless lover Don José is one of the most famous operas of all time.
Albert Einstein said, “Mozart's music is so pure and beautiful that I see it as a reflection of the inner beauty of the universe.” The Magic of Mozart will come to First Presbyterian on Sunday, April 21st at 4 p.m. with an all-Mozart instrumental and vocal concert. Don Cannarozzi and Thomas Bachtell will be featured pianists performing Mozart’s Concerto No. 10 for Two Pianos and Orchestra. The magic continues with selected overtures by the 25-member orchestra and well-loved vocal selections by our concert vocalists. Tickets are $30 each.

When Hansel and Gretel find themselves lost in the forest, they stumble upon a house made of gingerbread. Unable to resist temptation, the siblings begin eating the house only to be captured by the witch who lives there. From the exquisite "Evening Prayer" to the uproarious "Witch's Ride," this whimsical masterpiece is packed with musical gems that make it a wonderful experience for people of all ages! From seasoned opera goers to the person who has never stepped foot inside an opera house, this story is sure to delight all!
This fully staged production will be sung in English with piano accompaniment and will have a running time of 1 hour and 30 minutes, with one 15 minute intermission.
Back by popular demand, A Night at the Opera is the perfect way to spend an enchanting evening on Amelia Island! This year’s theme, La dolce vita, will celebrate all things Italian! Orchestra Miami presents an operatic version of the classic fairy tale. The Three Little Pigs, set to music from Mozart’s operas with story adaption and dialogue by John Davies. Performed in a fully-staged production by four professional opera singers with music direction by Elaine Rinaldi and stage direction by Ron Headrick.
Opera and the supernatural combine in FCO’s inaugural production at the renovated Water Work building in Saint Augustine. This other-worldly program features staged performances with orchestra of Menotti’s seance-filled The Medium and Holst’s Sāvitri, based on an episode from the Sanskrit epic Mahābhārata. Kyaunnee will be making her role debut with First Coast Opera as Monica in Menotti’s The Medium.
This concert will include solos and choral selections from Broadway’s most popular shows including: Les Miserables, The Music Man, West Side Story and many more. While completing her masters at Florida State University, Kyaunnee performed the roles of Rose Maurrant in Street Scene and Despina in Così fan tutte.
