Lauren Towns
(She/Her) Lauren Towns is a New Zealand Mezzo Soprano currently studying at the Queensland Conservatorium under the tutelage of Lisa Gasteen AO. Lauren is also recipient of the AIMES emerging talent award for Music (2021), and along with her collaborative pianist, Oscar Matthews, they were awarded first runner up for the Margaret Nickson Price for Voice and Accompaniment (2022). Lauren has gone on to perform in the Val Machin Opera Scenes (2022), and the Conservatorium's production of Iolanthe (2022), directed by Stuart Maunder AM.
