Lennon Schriever, an emerging tenor based in Grimes, IA, is a recent graduate of Wartburg College, where he graduated summa cum laude with a BM in Voice Performance. At Wartburg, he appeared in a wide range of roles with the Opera Workshop, including Henrik in A Little Night Music, the Witch in Hansel and Gretel, the Tenor in Bach’s Coffee Cantata, and Chip in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. He has also brought to life numerous dramatic and comedic characters with the Wartburg Players, such as Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the Struggling Comic in A Murder in the Knife Room, and Otis in Suite Surrender, in addition to performing improvisation with the Wartburg Jesters troupe.
Beyond performance, Lennon has directed and co-directed productions including Almost, Maine, and a 24-hour staging of Romeo and Juliet. He also gained administrative experience as a Front of House intern for Des Moines Metro Opera’s 2024 and 2025 Summer Festival Seasons.
His honors include winning the Wartburg Community Symphony’s Concerto Competition (where he performed as a featured soloist), recognition as a 2025 Presser Foundation Scholar, and selection as graduation speaker for the Wartburg College Class of 2025.
Outside of his artistic work, Lennon enjoys movies with friends, reading, writing, and spending time with his animals.
