Lily Bogas (they/she) is an American mezzo-soprano who is passionate about sharing human experiences through opera and art song, and particularly specializing in contemporary music. A recent graduate of the Eastman School of Music, their season included her performance as Anne in “To Hell and Back” by Heggie, followed by the title role of Dido and Aeneas. Last summer, you may have seen her in the world premiere of “Bulrusher” by Nathaniel Stookey, which marked her West Edge Opera debut. This Summer Lily will join the Aspen Music Festival as a Studio Artist, covering “Dharuna” in the world premiere of “Siddhartha, She” written by Grammy Award-winning composer Christopher Theofanidis. Lily is a 2025 Schmidt Vocal Arts Alumni Grant Recipient. In her free time she enjoys writing music for her jazz/indie/pop band "Seldon", which has garnered over 100,000 streams on Spotify.
