Lindsey Reynolds

American soprano Lindsey Reynolds is quickly gaining recognition for her captivating performances across both traditional and contemporary opera. In the 2025/2026 season, she returns to Opera Philadelphia as Contessa di Folleville in Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims, in a new production by Damiano Michieletto, one of Europe’s most sought-after, award-winning opera directors, marking his American debut.

Last season 2024/2025, she made her debut with Opera Philadelphia as Ashley Devon in the U.S. premiere of Missy Mazzoli’s The Listeners, where critics hailed her as “radiant and compelling, with luminous vocal presence.” She also made her hometown debut with New Orleans Opera as Adina in L’elisir d’amore and appeared in the world premiere of She Who Dared with Chicago Opera Theater, where she was praised as “a soprano to watch. Her performance … sneaks up on you. Her voice has a creamy texture and tone. Her timbre and flawless enunciation.” She also revisited Poulenc's Gloria with the Cleveland Youth Orchestra.

Ms. Reynolds was a Ryan Opera Center Ensemble member at the Lyric Opera of Chicago from 2022 to 2024, where she performed Barena in Jenůfa and the Celestial Voice in Don Carlos. She also appeared in Le Comte Ory and the world premiere of Proximity, and covered many roles across the company’s mainstage productions.

An active recitalist, she recently performed at the Aldeburgh Festival and in Nice, France, and sang the soprano solo in Poulenc’s Stabat Mater and Gloria at the Grant Park Music Festival. Lindsey is a recipient of the Richard F. Gold Career Grant, the Luminarts Fellowship, and an Emerging Artist Award from Opera Index, among other awards and competition prizes. Ms. Reynolds holds both a Bachelor and Master of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music. She was a Young Artist in the Britten Pears Programme (English Song Course) in 2023 and an Opera Philadelphia Emerging Artist in 2021 and 2024.
