Favorite roles include La contessa in Le nozze di Figaro and Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus. In 2024, Liza won the UMKC Concerto Aria Competition with "Piangerò la sorte mia" from Handel's Giulio Cesare and in September 2025, she performed the aria with the UMKC orchestra.
Liza Moss, soprano, holds a Master’s of Music from the University of Missouri Kansas City where she studied voice with Dr. Aidan Soder. Liza also completed a Bachelor’s of Music in vocal performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied with Dr. Mary Schiller and performed under David Bamberger. She attended Interlochen Arts Academy for all four years of high school, studying with Jeffery Norris.
Recent credits include Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus with Stafford Opera Troupe and La Fée in Viardot’s Cendrillon with Nightingale Opera Theater. At UMKC she sang La contessa in Le nozze di Figaro, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, and La zelatrice in Suor Angelica. She has performed scenes from Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Falstaff, Der Rosenkavalier, and Peter Grimes. Liza has also sung with Music on Site Inc., Utah Valley OperaFest, and the CIM Opera Theater.
