Biography

Loic Da Silva

Cordeone (Loic Da Silva)

began his journey playing Portuguese Balls at the tender age of 9. He is a multi-instrumentalist who, starting with the accordion, taught himself to play piano, classic guitar, Portuguese guitar, Brazilian percussions, drums, and the bass. At the age of 18, he embarked on a professional career in music.  

Cordeone’s musical odyssey has allowed him the pleasure of working and collaborating with amazing artists from all walks of life, such as Jah Mason, Turbulence, Big Joe Turner, Michael Pipoquinha, Ben l'Oncle Soul, Mario Canonge, Samson Schmidt and many more.

The artist strives to compose music that best represents his personal and artistic identity.

He've recorded 7 albums on his name and many more for other artists around the world.

Cordeone has graced many stages across the world, performing throughout North and South America, the EU, and Africa. He’s secured the opening acts for Ben l'oncle Soul, Danakil (La Nuit du Reggae) and La Ruda Salska; and also guest starred in the opening scene of Cédric Kahn's film Une Vie Meilleure, opposite Guillaume Canet and Leïla Bekhti. 

Cordeone has performed in intimate settings as well as MainStage before 10,000+ audience members. Here is a selection of past performances:

Cordeone is currently completing his latest album with his band UnCommon Sound, slated for a release in 2022.

He continues to perform with his bands UNCOMMON SOUND, LATCHI RAISA, KIAMBE, TRIO ARREBOL and FADO MÃNOUCHE.

Cordeone is a polyglot, speaking fluent English, French, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish; as well as some Italian, Haitian Creole, Antillean Creole.
