Łukasz Załęski

One of the most active Polish tenors of the young generation. His repertoire includes over twenty leading opera and operetta parts. Currently, he performs at almost all opera houses in Poland. In the summer of 2022, she will make her debut at the Bregenz Festival 2022 as Pinkerton in the premiere production of G. Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly”. He began his professional stage career in the premier performance of opera “Lovers from the Valdemosa monastery” by Marta Ptaszyńska in the Grand Theater in Łódź in 2010. From the beginning of his career to the present day he is exclusively a freelance artist. The Laureate of the 1st Prize of the 1st Bogdan Paprocki Vocal Competition (Jury: Stefania Toczyska, Ewa Podleś, Mariusz Kwiecień, Andrzej Dobber, Rafał Siwek), as well as the winner of a special prize for the best tenor of the Competition, the award for the best performance of Stanisław Moniuszko’s aria and 7 extra-statutory prizes (participations in opera performances). His most important opera roles are: Faust (H. Berlioz – La damnation de Faust), Princ (A. Dvořák – Rusalka), Nemorino (G. Donizetti – L’elisir d’amore), Edgardo (G. Donizetti – Lucia di Lammermoor), Alfred (G. Verdi – La Traviata), Duca di Mantova (G. Verdi – Rigoletto), Fenton (G Verdi – Falstaff), Stefan (S. Moniuszko – Straszny Dwór), Jontek (S. Moniuszko – Halka), Kazimierz (S. Moniuszko – The Countess), Pinkerton (G. Puccini – Madama Butterfly) and Rodolfo (G. Puccini – La Bohème). He is also perfectly in the operetta roles. His repertoire includes the following parties: Tassilo (I. Kálmán – Gräfin Mariza), Barinkay (J. Strauss – Der Zigeunerbaron) and Sou-Chong (F. Lehar – Das Land des Lächelns). In the season 2018/2019, he proudly celebrated Stanisław Moniuszko’s 200th birthday. As part of the celebrations, he appeared as Stefan at the premiere of the opera “The Haunted Manor” at the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, dir. Natalia Babińska (the performance inaugurated XXVI Bydgoszcz Opera Festival), as Kazimierz at the premiere of the “Countess” opera at the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk, dir. Krystyna Janda and as Max in the last opera of S. Moniuszko “Beata” in Opera Krakowska. He was also a semi-finalist of the jubilee 10th International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw. As part of celebrating the 100th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland, he took part in a unique global project “100 na 100. Muzyczne dekady wolności“, performing in the NOSPR under the direction of Michał Klauza, the solo tenor in W. Kilar’s “Te Deum”.
