She has directed productions such as The Ghosts of Versailles and The Stronger at the University of Texas, A Firework Unexploded at TUBU Fest, while also shaping new talent through opera scene showcases.

Beyond opera, Madison has spent the past two years as a Production Assistant with the University of Texas Department of Theatre & Dance, where she has honed her organizational and leadership skills. From coordinating rehearsal schedules and managing calendars to overseeing inventory and vendor communications, she approaches every task with efficiency, adaptability, and teamwork.

All of these positions are highly personal and require an abundance of organizational skills and communication styles to interact with different groups of people. Madison’s work has ranged from presenting opera concepts to design teams, scheduling rehearsals for large casts, staging complex scenes, and creating countless checklists to ensure productions run smoothly. Her background gives her the confidence to tackle problems and craft solutions quickly and effectively. She also knows when to collaborate and check in with others, and when to take initiative and manage tasks independently.

Madison holds a BM in Vocal Performance from Texas State University and an MM in Opera Directing from the University of Texas, where she is now pursuing her DMA in Opera Directing. With upcoming projects including Downwind (a new opera) and Suor Angelica, she continues to build a career rooted in both innovation and tradition, bringing passion, artistry, and care to every story she helps bring to life.

Austin, TX

Production Assistant

2023 - Present
For the past two years, I have worked as a production assistant with the University of Texas’s Theater and Dance department. Some of my responsibilities include keeping inventory of our shop, communicating with sellers via email and phone call to make orders, scheduling, appointment setting, and many other odd-ball tasks that I take on when need arises. This year, my manager has given me the responsibility of setting up his weekly schedule, so I will be diving into that head first starting this week when I am back in school.
