Margaret is a classical soprano and administrative professional from Long Island, New York. In 2017, she graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.M. in Vocal Performance, and in 2020 she earned her M.M. in Vocal Performance from Bard College. During her time at both of these institutions, Margaret worked in their conservatory admissions offices. Margaret values work that demystifies difficult admissions processes, and she’s passionate about empowering families to make informed choices around education. As a performer, Margaret has been praised by OperaWire for "a power and seeming effortlessness that [is] quite amazing..." She has been a soloist with the Albany Symphony Orchestra, The Orchestra Now, and the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra. Recently, Margaret has performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center, National Sawdust, and the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Her opera credits include the roles of Helena in Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Blanche de la Force in excerpts from Poulenc’s Les Dialogues des Carmélites. Margaret is a two-time fellow of the Tanglewood Music Center, and in 2017 she won an Encouragement Award in the Michigan district of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
