Margarita Parsamyan has been praised for her “dusky timbre”, “dramatic projection” and for “poignantly carrying a great deal of drama” by Opera Wire and South Florida Classical Review. Mrs. Parsamyan starts her 2024 season as a guest artist at IARGUS Festival performing a cycle of Russian folk song arrangements for 7-string guitar and voice. Her previous engagements include the roles of Rosalinde in Bel Cantanti Opera’s Die Fledermaus, La Contessa in Frost Opera Theater’s Le nozze di Figaro and Delia in Stone Soup with Florida Grand Opera (outreach), Concetta in the World Premiere of Michael Dellaira’s The Leopard (NAXOS records) with American Opera Project. Mrs Parsamyan performed as an Apprentice Artist with Sarasota Opera, performed two new operatic works at Virginia Arts Festival. In addition to performing operatic repertoire, she had several solo recitals which went beyond the traditional classical repertoire and included Russian Romance and Armenian classical and folk songs.
Her most recent achievements include Florida District Winner prize in NSAL Dorothy Lincoln Smith Competition, the Finalist Prize in Tampa Bay Symphony Jack Heller Young Artist Competition, the First Prize at Great Composers Competition, the Semi-finalist in CS International Vocal Competition and the Second Prize at TEXOMA NATS Competition. She was awarded the prestigious AGBU Performing Arts, AIWA, ASA, Davis, Zelby Family Endowed scholarships.
