(She/Her) Recognized for “[her] very pretty mezzo voice which she uses with great musicality…” (Revue l’Opéra), Marianne Bertrand is a canadian mezzo-soprano from Montreal. She is currently a Young Artist at the Vancouver Opera for their 2025-2026 season. Marianne will perform the role of Giovanna in Rigoletto, and understudy Maddalena and Dorabella. She has performed the role of Orlofsky at the Berlin Opera Academy and understudied Prince Charmant. She has performed the roles of Hänsel, Dido, Zweite Dame, Laetitia, and Croûte-au-pot.

Marianne Bertrand

Recognized for “[her] very pretty mezzo voice which she uses with great musicality…” and for being “Extremely gifted in dramatic interpretation” (Revue l’Opéra), Marianne Bertrand is a canadian mezzo-soprano from Montreal. She is currently a Young Artist in the Yulanda M. Faris program at the Vancouver Opera for their 2025-2026 season. As part of their season, Marianne will perform the role of Giovanna in Rigoletto, as well as understudy Maddalena and Dorabella. She has performed the role of Orlofsky at the Berlin Opera Academy as well as understudied Prince Charmant. She has also performed the roles of Hänsel, Dido, Zweite Dame, Laetitia, and Croûte-au-pot (Mesdames de la Halle) in Montreal.
