Marielle Leiboff
Marielle Leiboff is an American soprano known for her expressive voice and vivid storytelling. A Long Island native, she is now based in San Francisco, performing a wide range of repertoire from Baroque to Contemporary. She holds a Bachelors of Musical Arts from Vanderbilt University, studying under Amy Jarman and a Masters of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying under Cathy Cook. In San Francisco, she frequently performs with The Opus Project, premiering works by living Bay-Area composers.

Biography

Marielle Leiboff

Marielle Leiboff is an American soprano celebrated for her vocal expression and emotional storytelling. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Marielle is currently based in San Francisco, where she continues to expand her artistic presence in both traditional and contemporary repertoire.

Marielle earned her Bachelor’s degree from The Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University, graduating Magna cum laude, and completed her Master’s degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying under Catherine Cook. Her recent performances include the roles of “Paquette” in Candide and “The Barigoule” in Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, “Iris” in Semele, and “Cendrillon” in Viardot’s Cendrillon with Vanderbilt Opera Theater.

Marielle was named a finalist in the 2022 Orpheus Vocal Competition and a semifinalist in the 2022 CS Music Competition. She is currently an active performer with The Opus Project in San Francisco, a new music ensemble, where she frequently performs and premieres works by living Bay Area composers.

Her wide-ranging repertoire includes Baroque, Bel Canto, Romantic, and contemporary works. With a commitment to expressive interpretation and vocal excellence, Marielle continues to bring vibrant characters to life across the stage.
