Mary Buckingham, soprano, is a graduate of the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University with a Master’s of Music and DePauw University School of Music with a Bachelor’s of Music. Her recent operatic roles include Elsa (The Magic Knight), Phyllis (Iolanthe), Ninette (Prince Ananais), Musetta (La bohème), Selena (Jake Heggie’s If I Were You), and Mrs. Gobineau (The Medium). Mary currently works in the administrative offices at the Music Institute of Chicago, is a section leader at the Church of the Holy Comforter in Kenilworth, and performs in memory care facilities throughout the Chicago area with Songs by Heart Foundation.
