Megan Gürer (mezzo-soprano and composer) is an incoming graduate (MM) student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She received her BA in Vocal Performance and Music Composition at the University of California, Davis. This summer, Megan is performing the role of Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro through Bach-Millenium Music in Santa Clara, California. Last summer, Megan made her operatic debut as dritte Magd in Elektra through the Dramatic Voices Program Berlin. She also participated in the Lieder Akademie and Festival, where she performed the first two songs from Gustav Mahler’s song cycle Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen. Outside of music, she enjoys cooking and spending time in nature.
