Miastasha Gonzalez-Colón is a Puerto Rican mezzo-soprano from New York City. Recently she was an Apprentice Artist with Central City Opera where she performed in the chorus for a new opera titled The Knock and also covered the role of Aisha McNair. While in Central City, Miastasha performed as an ensemble member of Once Upon a Mattress and also held two recitals. She has also performed with the Bronx Opera in their productions of Gianni Schicchi as Zita, Iolanthe as the Fairy Queen, and most recently, Così fan tutte as Dorabella. For the past two summers Miastasha participated in the Oyster Bay Music Festival where she performed songs and scenes with other up and coming performers. Miastasha also performed the roles of the Principessa in Suor Angelica, the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Mother Marie in Dialogues of the Carmelites at SUNY Purchase where she received her Bachelor of Music. She then continued her education at the Mannes School of Music where she received her Master of Music.
