MICHAEL MENSAH, bass, from Elmina, Ghana, where he began his early training.

He went to study at the Vienna State Opera Academy, Austria, the Berlin Opera Academy, and currently he is in the USC Thornton School of Music Graduate Program where he is recognized for his roles and concert repertoire.

Michael won a special prize at the Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition, awarding an upcoming audition opportunity for the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Development Program. He was a semifinalist at the International Vocal Competition in s’Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, as well as his latest participation at the Loren L. Zachary Competition, where Michael won the Encouragement Prize.
