Molly Garrett is an up-and-coming mezzo-soprano with “beautifully sympathetic dramatic depth” (ArtsKnoxville) from Longwood, Florida. She received both a Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance and Certificate of Performance from the University of North Florida. While at UNF, she performed the roles of Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), the Sorceress (Dido and Aeneas) and Ms. Todd (The Old Maid and the Thief). Molly earned her Master’s of Music in Voice Performance with a Certificate in Pedagogy at the University of Tennessee Knoxville studying with Renee Tatum. With UTOT she has performed the roles of Blanche in (Les Dialogues des Carmelites) , Cendrillon (Cendrillon), Mrs. Nolan (The Medium) and La Maestra delle Novizie (Suor Angelica).
Molly has attended multiple training programs to further her education outside of school. Most recently she was an artist at Sewanee Music Festival’s OperaFest. In summer of 2022, she sang the role of Ottone (L'incoronazione di Poppea) with the Chicago Summer Opera. This summer she will be attending Musiktheater Bavaria.
