Biography

Molly Snodgrass

Soprano Molly Snodgrass, from Austin, Texas, is a second year Master of Music student at Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music, where she studies with Karen Brunssen. Snodgrass received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Juilliard School. This season, Snodgrass will cover Mrs. Zegner/“Ma”, in Proving Up by Missy Mazzoli. Last year, Ms. Snodgrass sang Hanna Glawari in Lehar’s Die Lustige Witwe and Fortuna in Monteverdi’s L’Incoronazione di Poppea, both with Northwestern University Opera Theater. At Juilliard, Snodgrass covered La Sorella Infermiera in Puccini's Suor Angelica and Clerio in Cavalli's L’Erismena. She performed the roles of La Madre di Mariuccia in Nino Rota's I due timidi and 2nd Cameriera in Menotti's Amelia al ballo.

Snodgrass also performed John Musto's song cycle, The Book of Uncommon Prayer in a Liederabend at Juilliard. Snodgrass has attended prestigious programs such as the Houston Grand Opera Young Artist Vocal Academy and had her role debut as Zerlina in Don Giovanni by Mozart at Prague Summer Nights last summer.
