Biography
Natalie Johnson is an oboist hailing from Maywood, IL. She is an active musician in the Chicagoland area, holding an Associate Membership with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, freelancing in the area, teaching private lessons, reed-making, and composing music. She is currently finishing up her Masters of Music in Oboe Performance with a graduate assistantship at Northwestern University Bienen School of Music in Evanston, IL. She received her Bachelors of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN in Music with Honors in Music Composition, with a minor in Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies. Her primary teachers include Michael Henoch, Sarah Erickson-Lume, Alexandra T. Bryant, and Christine Phillips.
