A late-night sketch comedy show in the style of the Neo-Futurists group. Here’s the basic pitch: all 13 students in the Acting From The Director's Perspective wrote original short plays (some are very short) and 20 of them were selected to be performed in no more than 40 minutes (seriously, we’re going to have a timer going). Also, the audience will choose the order of the plays, and there will probably be some other surprises along the way. FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY, SATURDAY, MARCH 18, AT 10:30 PM IN THE STUDIO THEATER!!
Born and raised in rural Nebraska, Olivia M. Sis hit the ground running with a self-started artistic career and hasn't stopped since. In 2018, the Nebraska Young Artists Awards named her one of five high school juniors who exemplified the pinnacles of creativity in theatre arts. Olivia completed her theatrical training at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts and Political Science. In her time at NWU, she performed in Lord of the Flies (Ralph), Hindsight is 20/40 (Ensemble/Writer), Holiday Inn (Ensemble), A Christmas Carol (Mrs. Cratchit), and the World Premiere of A Long Line of McKinney Women by Kailey Marshall (Mom). While in school, she was active in the Lincoln and Omaha arts scene, having appeared in Something Rotten! (Ensemble) at the Lincoln Community Playhouse, Catch Me If You Can at Pinewood Performing Arts (Cheryl Ann/Ensemble) and Legally Blonde (Elle Woods) at the Lofte Community Theatre, for which she was nominated for the 17th Annual Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards' Best Actor in a Musical. She also enjoys helping out behind the scenes in numerous technical capacities. Following graduation, she now resides in the Windy City of Chicago, Illinois, and is excited for her debut performance in Anastasia: The Musical (Dunya/Waltzer/Ensemble) with Natural Talent Productions! Outside of theatre, Olivia is a proud Alpha Gamma Delta sorority alum, an avid rollerskater, and a cat mom to her gorgeous fluffy tuxedo baby, Oberon.
