Biography

Parker Konkle

Originally from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Parker Konkle is an emerging collaborative pianist based in Cincinnati, Ohio. As an undergraduate piano performance major at Penn State University, his credits include pianist for the Penn State Concert Choir, Glee Club, Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and Baroque Ensemble. He has been the recipient of many prizes in the Penn State School of Music Scholarship Competitions, First Prize in the 2019 Steinway and Sons Junior Piano Competition, and honorable mention in the 2019 Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Pennsylvania State Competition. He was also a recipient of the Golumbic Scholarship Award in Performance Achievement given by the Penn State College of Arts and Architecture and is a Presser Scholar. He was most recently invited to Songfest (San Francisco Conservatory), the Collaborative Piano Institute (LSU), and received a Professional Fellowship at the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival for the summer of 2022 to assistant music direct a production of Laura Kaminsky’s As One. His performances have taken him to Carnegie Hall, the Hershey Theatre, the Community Arts Center in Williamsport, PA, and the Eisenhower Auditorium at Penn State University. Parker is currently an MM candidate and Graduate Assistant in Collaborative Piano at the University of Cincinnati College-Conseratory of Music, studying with Ken Griffiths, Donna Loewy, and Sandra Rivers.
