Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Pun began piano at age four with Nopanand Chanorathaikul. He earned his undergraduate degree with Highest Distinction from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Singapore. A recipient of the Glenn E. Leclair and Edward P. Frohlich piano awards, he holds a Master of Music and a Certificate in Arts Entrepreneurship from the University of Michigan, where he’s pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance. His mentors include Christopher Harding, Thomas Hecht, and Rolf-Dieter Arens

Biography

Pun Punyasavatsut

Pun Punyasavatsut is a pianist, educator, and arts leader with a passion for bringing classical music to wider audiences.

Pun has performed at venues across the United States, Europe, and Asia, including the Ruthmere-Havilah Beardsley House in Indiana, Chiesa di San Domenico in Italy, and Steinway & Sons Gallery in Bangkok. He has been featured in festivals such as the Amalfi Coast Piano Festival and the Disentis International Piano Academy, where he contributed to a charity concert supporting children in Ukraine. As a competition finalist and prizewinner, he has been recognized in the Robert B. Beardsley Piano Competition, Malaysia Young Concert Artists International Piano Competition, Kawai International Piano Competition, and Beethoven International Piano Competition.

Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, Pun began his piano studies at the age of four. He trained under Nopanand Chanorathaikul and later pursued his undergraduate studies at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore, where he graduated with Highest Distinction. As a recipient of the Glenn E. Leclair and Edward P. Frohlich piano awards, he is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Piano Performance at the University of Michigan, where he also holds a Certificate in Arts Entrepreneurship and Leadership. His mentors include Christopher Harding, Thomas Hecht, and Rolf-Dieter Arens, while working with esteemed artists such as Stephen Hough, Paul Lewis, and Yoheved Kaplinsky in masterclasses.
