Experience

Experience

Show Director, Vocal/Music Director, Choreographer, & Sound/Light/Playbill/Costume/Set Designer

2014 - Present
During the month of July, I work together with staff to create a fun, nurturing, family oriented, & professional community theater environment for each child. We take pride in making sure that each rehearsal is a non-judgmental/non-competitive zone. We have successfully created an environment where the older cast members help the younger cast members & vise versa. I direct, vocal/music direct, choreograph, costume design/styling, & design the sound/lights/playbill. I teach each cast member health/effective singing, acting, & dancing technique as well as teach students how to practice, about vocal projection, breath control, vocal health, character development, responsibility, team work, & more! I also help with props & set design. The Visual Art Head creates the sets, theatre decor with the help of the cast/counselors as well as assists with altering the costumes & props when needed. Each cast members' confidence improves as they see their skills become stronger in only 3 weeks! Since we are focused on BOTH the process & the product, we are fortunate that our program & the shows have received rave reviews by every cast & audience! My production company professionally films/edits the behind the scenes footage & the performances together onto DVDs.
