She recently completed a year and a half run Off-Broadway as Tsaytl in Fiddler on the Roof (in Yiddish) directed by Joel Grey. The show moved uptown to Off-Broadway’s Stage 42 after it’s sold-out run downtown at The Museum of Jewish Heritage with The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene!
Rachel made her Principal Debut with New York City Opera in the role of Lili in the new jazz opera, Dear Erich by Ted Rosenthal, after appearing in a staged reading of the piece at the Clark Studio Theatre at Lincoln Center. Rachel made her New York City Opera debut in Candide directed by Hal Prince. Other credits include Khanele in the Drama Desk nominated The Golden Bride Off-Broadway, Paquette in Candide with Anchorage Opera, and Alice in The Secret Garden at Theatre Under the Stars.
She performed with the International Tour of West Side Story in the role of Maria. The tour played world class venues such as the Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London’s West End, the Israeli Opera House in Tel Aviv, and the 2500 seat Alte Oper in Frankfurt. Rachel has performed principal opera roles at Anchorage Opera, Syracuse Opera, Opera North, dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, and Dicapo Opera. Some of her favorite opera credits include Despina in Cosi fan tutti, Adele (cover)/Ida in Die Fledermaus, Servilia in La clemenza di Tito, Clorinda in La Cenerentola, and Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi.
She made her New York debut as the role of Claire Clairmont in Villa Diodati, a chamber opera at The York Theater.
Rachel fulfilled her Master of Music degree studying Vocal Performance at Temple University.
