Rebbekah Vega-Romero is a native New Yorker, a true Gryffindor, a proud member of Actor's Equity, and a triracial Latina bruja. A YoungArts award-winning writer, Rebbekah graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s in English Literature and Theatre Arts. Rebbekah has had a wide-ranging career as an actress, most recently wowing audiences in Seattle with her "luminous" starring turn as Maria in West Side Story at the 5th Avenue Theatre. In addition to her work on stage and in film/TV, Rebbekah is an active cabaret artist in NYC, with performances at the Duplex, Green Room 42, and Feinstein's/54 Below. Up next, she will be starring in a short film she wrote and produced about the absurdities of #DatingWhileMixed. Her poetry has been featured in the Quaranzine Zine and Sixfold. Rebbekah hopes that her work as a performer and writer will inspire other mixed-race girls to realize that “there’s a place for us.”
