As well as being on the opera stage, Rebecca has performed as a soloist in concert works as a Soprano soloist in Martin Palmeri’s Misa Tango, Franz Schubert’s Mass in G Major, and Mesut Ozgen’s Istanbul Express and Three Turkish Folk Songs. She also performs with her trio “La Passeggiata” around Miami and Broward County.

Biography

Rebecca Benitez

Rebecca Benitez currently is the Project Manager for Magic City Opera’s “A Voice to Give” and Music Teacher for St. Anthony’s Catholic School. She graduated with a Master of Music from Florida International University in Vocal Performance in the studio of Dr. Kathleen Wilson. Her recent operatic performances include Mimi (La Boheme), Charlotte from Thomas Pasatieri’s Before Breakfast and Desdemona’s Scena from Verdi’s Otello with FIU Opera Theatre. Erste Dame (Die Zauberflöte) with Opera Theatre of Montclair, Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Suor Genovieffe (Suor Angelica) with New York Lyric Opera Theatre, Due Conversa and Seconda Cercatrice (Suor Angelica) and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) under the baton of Michael Rossi and Yuriy Bekker with the Miami Summer Music Festival. As well as being on the opera stage, Rebecca has performed as a soloist in concert works as a Soprano soloist in Martin Palmeri’s Misa Tango, Franz Schubert’s Mass in G Major, and Mesut Ozgen’s Istanbul Express and Three Turkish Folk Songs. She also performs with her trio “La Passeggiata” around Miami and Broward County. “La Passeggiata” formed to share our journey of life through music. Our most recent concert “Perception” brought mental health awareness to the forefront. I’m also thrilled to perform in my first musical “The Addams Family” as Alice Beineke with Pembroke Pines Theatre of Performing Arts.
