Robin Deimerly, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, found a love for opera while being in the children's chorus of Carmen in the fourth grade. Since starting her BM in 2022, Robin has performed several opera and musical theatre roles such as Ruggiero in Handel's Alcina (Saluzzo Opera Academy, 2024), La Ciesca in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi (Opera Lucca, 2024), Zelatrice in Puccini's Suor Angelica (Opera Lucca, 2024), Armelinde in Viardot's Cendrillon (UMKC Opera, 2025), Granny in Sondheim's Into the Woods (UMKC Opera, 2025), the Notary in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi (UMKC Opera, 2024), Le Converse and Le Cercatrice in Puccini's Suor Angelica (UMKC Opera, 2024), and the Second Spirit in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (UMKC Opera, 2023). Robin was also a cover with a performance as Silla in Handel's Silla (Chicago Summer Opera, 2025), and Robin covered Cherubino in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro (UMKC Opera, 2024) as well as Ruth in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance (UMKC Opera, 2024). Robin also performed scenes from Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel (Eng) as Hansel (UMKC Opera, 2023). In addition, Robin has participated in the choruses of several shows, including Massenet's Cherubin (UMKC Opera, 2022), Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro (UMKC Opera, 2024), and Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance (UMKC Opera, 2024).
