Roni Ellison is excited to continue expanding her acting and singing opportunities. She has been fortunate to perform many incredible roles. Some of her favorite opera roles include Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, La Zalatrice in Suor Angelica, Laetitia in The Old Maid and the Thief, and La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi. Roni also enjoys musical theater. Some of Roni's stand-out roles include Katherine Plumber in Newsies, Madame de la Grande Bouche, a.k.a the Wardrobe, in Beauty and the Beast, and Maria in The Sound of Music.  Roni performance engagements have included productions with The Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University, master classes and concerts with Mirko Matarazzo at the Regium Lepidi Academy,and through summer programs with La Musica Lirica and Opera Lucca.

Roni is a recent graduate of the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, completing a Master's of Music degree in Vocal Performance in May 2024. While at the Jacobs School of Music,she studied voice under the guidance of Marietta Simpson. Previously she studied with Dr. Albert Lee as a Vocal Performance major at the University of Nevada-Reno, Earning her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance in May, 2022. With the support of Ms. Simpson and other faculty at the Jacobs School, Roni continues to study both Classical and Musical Theatre repertoire as well as being a popular soprano choice to sing new music developed by the Jacobs School's graduate composers.

Roni recently returned from singing in Italy with Opera Lucca. She had the privilege of working under the guidance of Peter Volpe. She had the honor of being directed in her many opera scenes and as La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi by Mike Scarola, who she previously had the opportunity to work with at La Musica Lirica. In addition she had the privilege of collaborating with Raphael Fusco, Christiano Manzoni, Donna Loewy, Alessandra Volpi, and James Massol.

Roni regularly attends master classes throughout the America and abroad where she has the opportunity to work with various professionals in the business on vocal techniques (classical and musical theatre), acting methods, and dancing. Roni has been honored to perform for and be coached by talent such as: mezzo-soprano, Dolora Zajick, tenor, Mirko Matarazzo, actor and vocalist, Martin Fisher,and soprano, Kristen Arnold.

Roni is a world traveler. She has duel citizenship with the USA and New Zealand and has a passport from each country. Roni has lived in both countries, but is currently living in the USA.
