Ross Macatangay is a 25-year-old baritone from New York City studying under the tutelage of Mark Schnaible. Born and raised in New York City, he has always been involved in the arts from a young age, starting with being a part of the Young People’s Chorus of NYC from the ages of 6-16, followed by attending Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School as a voice major, and then going to pursue his undergraduate degree and Master’s degree at Manhattan School of Music where he studied under Neil Rosenshein and Ashley Putnam. Currently studying at Curtis Institute of Music as a candidate for his Professional Studies Certificate, his experience includes Don Giovanni from Mozart's Don Giovanni, Conte from Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Gianni Schicchi in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Demetrius from Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Papageno from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Mercutio from Gounod's Roméo et Juliette and Boniface from Ibert’s Angelique.
