Raised in Massachusetts, Ryan Nash is an emerging tenor and crossover performer. Ryan has spent his first year as a young professional with Madison Opera in their Studio Artist program covering Count Almaviva and Don Ottavio, and with Central City Opera as an Apprentice Artist covering Prince Dauntless. Recent mainstage roles include An Officer, Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Madison Opera), Gherardo, Gianni Schicchi (American Gothic Festival), Gastone, La Traviata (UW Opera), and Albert Herring, Albert Herring (UW Opera). A lover of recital as well as the stage, Ryan was featured as part of the 2024 UW Madison Schubertiade alongside pianist Aubrie Jacobson in a recital of Die schöne Müllerin, coached by renowned scholar Susan Youens. Ryan is looking forward to completing his second year with Madison Opera as their Studio Artist tenor, where he will be a part of the premier of Scott Gendel’s Everlasting Faint.
