Santiago Lopez is a versatile, expressive guitarist with many years of study and performance experience, skilled in a range of styles including rock, jazz, blues, pop and funk.
 
Santiago studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he majored in Performance. During this time he studied with renowned musicians such as Jason Palmer, Bret Willmott, David Gilmore and David Fiuczynski. 

Currently based in Boston, MA, Santiago performs regularly with his main band Orchid Reed and as a session and side musician for other artists and projects. On the side, Santiago also teaches music and private guitar lessons.

Notable Performances include:

-Requiem of Verdi with Ecuador´s Philharmonic Orchestra and Italian soloists at Casa de la Musica in Quito, Ecuador in 2007.

-Opening for acclaimed trumpet player Randy Brecker at Ecuador Jazz Festival 2013

-Rock Star Beer Festival with Orchid Reed [Summer 2019, Winter 2020] 

Performed as main act at 1,300 capacity Royale club
for two Rock Star Beer Festival national tour stops in Boston, MA

-Boston First Night Event with Paco band on December 2021 aired on national tv through channles such as NBC and Telemundo.
