Sarah Pajonas is a versatile mezzo-soprano who performs a wide range of music, including Renaissance madrigals, Bel canto opera, 20th century minimalism, and contemporary choral works. She graduated with her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, CUNY, in May 2025. Opera credits include Britten’s Albert Herring (Nancy), Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel (Sandman), Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi (Zita) and Suor Angelica (Principessa), Cavalli’s Il Giasone (Giasone), as well as concert versions of Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Roméo) and Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito (Sesto). As a choral singer, she has performed with the New York Choral Society at notable venues such as David Geffen Hall, Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and NYU Skirball. Sarah has had the privilege of singing in masterclasses for countertenor/conductor Daniel Taylor, soprano Lyubov Petrova, and pianist Mark Markham. She continues to study with her graduate voice teacher, Dr. Sherry Overholt.
