Sarah Rogers is a Boston-based soprano, originally from South Florida. She is currently in her final year of study at the Boston University Opera Institute, in the studio of Penelope Bitzas. With the Boston University Opera Institute, she has performed as Harriet Beecher Stowe in Kamala Sankaram’s The Infinite Energy of Ada Lovelace and as Selena in Jake Heggie’s If I Were You. She has sung the role of Countess Almaviva W.A. Mozart’s in Le nozze di Figaro with the Utah Vocal Arts Academy, and the role of Erste Dame in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with North Carolina Opera.
Ms. Rogers received her Master of Music in Voice Performance at Boston University, where she won the Boston University at Carnegie Hall competition and the Boston University Soloist Competition, concluding in a performance of Alban Berg's Sieben frühe Lieder with the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Jamie Burton. She was also named a semi-finalist in the 2021 Orpheus Vocal Competition student category, and an Encouragement Award winner in 2021 and 2022 in the Florida district of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
