Sofia Durante is an Italian-Canadian mezzo-soprano known for her rich, expressive voice and dynamic stage presence. Though petite in stature, she commands the stage with vocal warmth and agility that have earned her acclaim on international stages across Canada, the United States, and Italy.

Recent career highlights include her portrayal of Hansel in Hansel and Gretel with Bronx Opera and her participation as a resident artist in the Canadian Opera Company’s Summer Intensive. A frequent collaborator with Classic Lyric Arts, Sofia has taken on major roles such as La Frugola in Il Tabarro, Orfeo in Orfeo ed Euridice, and Giulio Cesare in Giulio Cesare in Egitto.
