Colombian-American mezzo-soprano Stephanie Londoño is a passionate vocalist and educator. She exhibits her curiosity for different vocal tapestries through her wide range of repertoire. From classical music to boleros, Stephanie pays homage to her training and her roots. Her drive for authentic storytelling and love for community has embarked her on a journey where she has performed at Symphony Center, to celebrate classical music and Latino culture with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Latino Alliance; Daley Plaza with the Colombian Consulate to celebrate the vibrant Colombian culture in Chicago, and the Harold Washington Library with The Literary Guild to celebrate the life of Chicago icon Gwendolyn Brooks. Among these experiences, she is proud to have been a member of Westminster Williamson Voices and to have sung on the Grammy-nominated album, Annelies, the first major choral setting of The Diary of Anne Frank. She began her operatic career as an Ensemble Member in Die Zauberflöte with Westminster Opera Theater under the direction of Michael Philip Davis and participated in scene performances as Dorabella in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte at Northwestern's University Naked Voice Institute with Stephen W. Smith. Today, in addition to performing, Stephanie teaches private voice lessons to students of all ages and is a proud faculty and staff member at The People’s Music School, the only tuition-free music school in the country. She is a student of Adrienne Grove's and is a graduate from Westminster Choir College with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education.
