Suowei Wu, Tenor, from Wenzhou, China, recently graduated with a Master’s in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory, where he studied with Bradley Williams. Prior to his graduate studies, he earned his Bachelor’s degree at Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, China. Suowei is a recipient of the National Scholarship award in China and The Academic Honors Scholarship Award at Xinghai Conservatory of Music for three consecutive years. He sang the tenor solo in NEC’s performance of Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor and he appeared in (Così fan Tutte) as the role of Ferrando. While at NEC, he also performed the role of Alfredo (Die Fledermaus), Jimmy (Later the Same Evening), and Lucano (L’incoronazione Di Poppea). In the summer of 2025, Suowei performed chamber music, art song recitals, and the role of Frog and Teapot in L’enfant et les sortilèges at Tanglewood Music Center.
