The 2019 – 2020 season sees Ms. Mancasola make her role debut as Bess in a new production of Missy Mazzoli’s Breaking the Waves which will make its New York debut at Brooklyn Academy of Music with Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducting the Metropolitan Opera orchestra. She also sings the role of Bess at both the Edinburgh International Festival and at the Adelaide Festival Centre in Australia. This season also sees her return to Komische Oper Berlin to sing the title role in Barrie Kosky’s production of Semele, Iphis in Jephtha, and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte. Ms. Mancasola also makes her house debut at Washington National Opera as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, conducted by Eun Sun Kim.
