Interdisciplinary flutist/composer Tessa Brinckman has been praised as a “flutist of chameleon-like gifts” and “virtuoso elegance” (Gramophone).  As a performer she has premiered and commissioned numerous new works, within significant ensembles, concert series, residencies and festivals in the United States, South Africa, France and her native New Zealand.  Now living in NYC, she enjoys creating and playing works that honor synesthesia, dialect, innate meter and collaboration.
