Tim Fogarty
Tim Fogarty, is a trumpeter, composer/arranger, and educator based in New York City. He is a graduate of the jazz program at Indiana University where he studied trumpet with Joey Tartell and Pat Harbison. He has also been in bands directed by Brent Wallarab, Wayne Wallace/Mike Spiro, and Walter Smith III. Currently, he running a video production business, Fogarty and Friends Productions.

Biography

Tim Fogarty

Tim Fogarty, is a trumpeter, composer/arranger, and educator based in New York City. Tim is a graduate of the jazz program at Indiana University where he studied trumpet with Joey Tartell and Pat Harbison. He has also been in bands directed by Brent Wallarab, Wayne Wallace/Mike Spiro, and Walter Smith III. Currently, he running a video production business, Fogarty and Friends Productions. Tim has been fortunate enough to play with many great artists, including John Clayton, Randy Brecker, Phil Woods, John Fedchock, Bryan Lynch, Marquise Hill, and Wycliffe Gordon. He has also played in many world class venues, including Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Appel Room and Dizzy’s Coca-Cola Club, Eastman Kodack Theatre, The Jazz Gallery, and The Palladium. Tim started on trumpet in 4th grade in his schools beginning band program and in private lessons with his first teacher, Rich Wiederman. By the time Tim was in middle school he started his first jazz/funk band “The Groove Mechanics.” In high school he started to narrow his focus on music attending summer programs like The Skidmore Summer Jazz Institute, and started attending the Manhattan School of Music Pre-college Jazz Program. Currently, you can find Tim playing regularly in the New York area. He's a member of the Miles Davis Collective, as well as a leader of his own group, The Fogarty and Friends Quartet.
